BACKGROUND

Chocolate has been woven through the fabric of American culture for centuries. Its rich history is intertwined in the stories of our founding fathers, and ultimately, the history of the Americas. AMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate was created by Mars Wrigley to help educate consumers about the history of our nation through the engaging story of one of our most beloved foods—chocolate!


PROGRAM GOAL

Launch a virtual tasting experience that could tell the inclusive story of chocolate through the ages.


STRATEGY

Bringing the history to life through a full sensory experience, the virtual tastings are led by a chocolate historian who shares details dating back 3500 years to its “discovery” by the Olmec people, including a demonstration of how it was made then and in Colonial times.

TACTICS

  • Packaged our chocolate historian as a ”product” that provided added value for site partners – he is an amazing piece of content that will entice people to attend their events (B2B).

  • Worked with each historic site partner to create all programming content including scripts and visual aids
